Slade drummer Don Powell, with his own Don Powell Band, continue their run of chart storming releases with this kicking new version of the classic Cozy Powell hit: Na Na Na!

Na Na Na! follows on from the band’s recent chart successes: Deja Voodoo, My Sharona and I Am The Beat. Each release stayed in the charts for over 12 weeks each, hitting the number one spots and never lower than the top five.

The Don Powell Band re-unites musicians from the very respected Slade 2: vocalist/guitarist Steve Whalley and bassist/guitarist Craig Fenney alongside permanent keyboard player Jon Bates.
All tracks are Two Coats productions. Two Coats is Craig Fenney and Jon Bates who have worked on many music productions including all the recent hits from the Don Powell Band

Backstory: Don Powell and Cozy Powell were not related, but often mistaken for each other, a fact that led to amusement. Don, of course, was with Slade and Cozy was well known for playing with Rainbow and later Whitesnake. They met many times and always swapped stories about these crazy confusions. Cozy’s influence and body of work mark him a legendary drummer, lost to us far too soon in a car accident in 1998.

The drum kit on this track and played in the video is Cozy’s original iconic Yamaha kit loaned to Don by its current custodian Bob Richards.
