I really wish this was a Barcelona vs Arsenal UEFA Women's Champions League Final preview as planned... instead English football was attacked.

Yes, The Women's Super League rebranded it's logo and renamed the Women's Championship to the WSL2. Nikki Doucet and the governing body's rebrand has sparked massive backlash and for good reason. In this video, I break down the new WSL branding, why it alienates actual football fans, and how it's a major misread of the women’s football audience. not only that, it infantilizes women's football.

A league with prestigious clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Everton, Liverpool, and more, is now reduced to corporate buzzwords and a North American view of football/soccer. Whether they know it or not, this does not move women's football forward, but instead perpetuates lazy associations.
