Battlefield 6 California Resistance Update – New Map, New Mode, Aim Assist Fix & Big Changes!

Battlefield 6 has just dropped its biggest update yet – the California Resistance patch – and it is packed with new content, fixes, balance changes and some long-awaited improvements. In this video we break everything down in a simple, fun and relaxed way so every player can understand what’s new.

The update brings the brand-new Eastwood map, a Southern California battlefield filled with tanks, choppers and enough chaos to make every match unpredictable. We also get a new limited-time mode called Sabotage, where one team plants the bombs and the other team panics trying to stop them. Classic Battlefield energy.

New weapons arrive with the DB-12 shotgun and M357 pistol, plus a new Gauntlet mission called Rodeo that rewards players for vehicle mayhem. Portal gets a new Sandbox map, Golf Carts become official toys, and creators can now control music through scripting for even wilder custom modes.

The developers also rolled back aim assist to the smooth Open Beta version, fixing controller issues and making aiming feel normal again. Gunplay has been polished with less random bullet spread, cleaner recoil and gadget fixes across the board. Matchmaking, UI, settings and sound all get meaningful upgrades too.
