Imagine you're pulling a thin rubber band. As it stretches wider and wider, you notice it begins to ware and eventually, it snaps. Now, imagine you're pulling a thick rubber band; but instead of snapping, it simply stops when it's stretched too far. This is emotional resilience. As emotional beings, our bands are stretching to different lengths at any given time, especially during difficult conversations. This can be draining and worrisome. The good news is that we have the power to choose how resilient we are no matter what type of conversation we are having! In this session, we will discuss practices and tools that help to navigate difficult conversations and leave us feeling more peace, alignment and confidence about our relations going forward!
