Look. If you're going to debate creationists, publicly, with an audience, you have an obligation to not screw it up. Know what they're going to say and how to respond. The goal isn't to teach a biology or geology lesson, the point is to win the debate, and you do that by show you have an answer for whatever nonsense they throw at you, and they DON'T have an answer to what you say. So be prepared.
