Removing the Door Mirrors from an Aston Martin DB9

Let me show you how to properly remove the Door Mirrors from a 2005 Aston Martin DB9 Coupe. You may need to take them off to refinish the fading black of the mount, or to reseal them to to even upgrade them to a later style. My early DB9 are the 'Boxing Glove' style.
The process is [probably] the same on most of the Gaydon era cars that include the Aston Martin Vantage, DBS, Rapide, Virage and Vanquish. Please leave a comment below if you can confirm the process and/or mention the differences.
