23-Year-Old is Arrested Again for Drunk Driving with Her Child in the Car

On September 28, 2024, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Deputy Gurule attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 40 for allegedly drifting out of lanes. Deputy Gurule activated his patrol vehicle's lights and siren, but the driver failed to stop. Deputy Gurule was advised to terminate his pursuit and follow the vehicle from a distance. The vehicle eventually pulled into a Speedway gas station and stopped. Multiple deputies then boxed the vehicle in and mandated that the 23-year-old woman behind the wheel exit the vehicle. She was immediately handcuffed and placed in the back of Deputy Gurule's vehicle. It was then revealed that her 18-month-old son was asleep in the back of the vehicle and she was driving on a suspended license. She had been arrested just 4 months prior for her first DUI (her son was also in the vehicle during that arrest). She was transported to the Sheriff's substation, where she refused to submit to a breath alcohol test. Her long list of charges including 2 felony charges, are discussed at the end of the video.
