Join us on another stunning Derbyshire adventure as we take on one of the Peak District’s most thrilling walks — the High Tor and Giddy Edge hike in Matlock. This scenic and dramatic route offers breathtaking views over the Derwent Valley and the beautiful town of Matlock Bath below.

We begin our journey in Matlock, making our way up the steep climb to High Tor, one of the area’s most iconic limestone cliffs. From there, we carefully follow the narrow Giddy Edge path, a heart-racing but unforgettable section with spectacular panoramic views. After tackling Giddy Edge, we descend through Matlock Bath, taking in the charming riverside atmosphere before heading up again towards the Heights of Abraham.

This circular walk is packed with beauty, challenge, and history — from dramatic cliffs and woodland paths to Victorian-era viewpoints. We finish our loop back in Matlock town, feeling rewarded and ready for a well-earned rest!
