Played with Cantorum Duo Plus; a short fantasy on the theme of a famous Baroque chorale with a brilliant character made with Baroque Pipeset in EU standard layout. Original composition by Johann Gottfried Vierling - Allegro in Bb major über "Nun lob, mein Seel, den Herren".

This short Choral Prelude, based on the famous Lutheran hymn written by the theologian and reformer Johann Gramann, begins as a short fantasia with a bright and serene character played with 8', 4' and 2' principals of both manuals coupled; after this episode Posaune 16' of pedalboard and Mixtures are pulled on to play the majestic Choral melody by pedalboard and left hand one octave apart while right hand continues with his joyful figures of quavers and semiquavers. In the final cadence 16' flue stop of MAN I is switched on to get full Plenum organ sound played with Viscount Cantorum Duo Plus.

ℹ️ About the composer:
Johann Gottfried Vierling (1750-1813) was a German organist and composer. He was born in Metzels and began his musical studies with Johann Nikolaus Tischer whom he succeeded as organist in the city of Schmalkalden. Later, continued with Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Johann Philipp Kirnberger. He composed several collections of easy organ pieces, a four-voice organ chorale book (1790) and cembalo music. Moreover, Two handwritten annual volumes of Kirchenkantaten are preserved. He also published a handbook on the art of Basso Continuo titled "Allgemein faßlicher Unterricht im Generalbaß".
