How I Get My Hair Cut When I'm Between Styles

In this video, I’m sharing my transition haircut as I grow out my short 1960s bob into a longer, 1950s-inspired style! ✂️💁‍♀️ It can be tricky finding the right cut while in-between styles, so I’m walking you through how my hairdresser shaped my current cut to support that vintage journey.

We’ve added a soft U-shape through the back and layered the bangs to give my hair movement, versatility, and shape—even as it grows out. This helps me still achieve a variety of vintage styles while working towards that longer, glamorous '50s look.

I’ll also show you how I style my hair with this current cut, and we’ll chat about something important: you can’t always tell if a haircut works until you’ve styled it. That's why I always recommend taking photos of your styled cut and using them to discuss future tweaks with your hairdresser. It’s all about making sure your hair suits both your aesthetic and your practical needs.
