How to Access the Blue Ridge Parkway Spring 2025

🚗 Current Access to Mt. Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Due to ongoing closures on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the best way to reach the Mt. Pisgah area is via NC Highway 151, which connects to the Parkway at Elk Pasture Gap (Milepost 405.5). This route is open and provides access to the Pisgah Inn, Mt. Pisgah Trail, and other scenic spots.

📍Mt. Pisgah Trailhead & Picnic Area (MP 407.6)

Access point for hiking to the summit of Mt. Pisgah (5,721 ft), one of the most iconic peaks near Asheville.

📍Pisgah Inn (MP 408.6)

Offers sweeping mountain views, dining, and lodging. Even if you’re not staying, the deck is open to visitors.

📍Fryingpan Mountain Lookout Tower Trail (MP 409.6)

A short hike leads to a historic fire tower with panoramic 360-degree views.
