This was the first session with the University of Richmond GK Union in preparation for their spring season, so the main focus was to get to know the keepers, to observe their technical abilities, and to observe how each keeper moves, thinks, adapts, and trains.
The session started with some light warm-up activities involving hand-eye coordination, playing with the feet, and simple footwork patterns before going to bigger picture passing and shot stopping progressions. We finished training with 3 simple "3 Man/Woman Weave" exercises.
This will be a superb group of keepers to work with, and I am greatly looking forward to helping in their development as we progress into the season!
