Suphan Buri (สุพรรณบุรี) is a peaceful province in central Thailand about an hour and a half away from Bangkok and not far from Ayutthaya, but because it’s so close to other more well known places, it remains pretty quiet and low key. But there is some delicious and unique Thai food that’s worth seeking out when you go. And in this video I’ll show you where to eat!

Kuay Teow Jay Pai (ร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวเจ๊ไพ https://maps.app.goo.gl/k7vvBtYsPKuxH...) - Most Thais who visit Suphan Buri wouldn’t miss a bowl of special tom yum noodles. At this old school spot they have their own special noodles and you can get it with a minced pork patty that’s made on a spoon. Price - 35 THB ($1.03) per bowl

Pu’Yai Art Jungle Food (ร้านผู้ใหญ่อาร์ทอาหารป่า https://maps.app.goo.gl/YJuaURy7CpC52...) - Next up on this Thai food tour in Suphan Buri - you might already know about my addiction to Thai jungle food, and in Suphan Buri you’ll find some top of the line extreme spicy jungle food. This place had some of the best jungle curry I’ve had in a long time that was as fiery as it looked. Their free range chicken kaprao was also outstanding and their eel chili fry. Total price - 950 THB ($28.03)

Pla Pao Rim Khlong (ร้านปลาเผาริมคลอง https://maps.app.goo.gl/aJSdG6eLfafe7...) - But the highlight of the day was out in the countryside where they specialize in big snakehead fish, that are smoked and barbecued with flaming rice hay. The unique cooking process cooks the fish perfectly, leaving the meat moist, juicy and full of smoky flavor on the inside. It’s also a great place just to hang out and enjoy the countryside atmosphere. Total price - 880 THB ($26.08)
