ST2 Smart Turn Signal: Don’t follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions..don't buy it!

I have been "stranded" by this device with either:
1) no turn signals or 2) a stuck turn signal at some point.

Evidence of a stuck turn signal:
   • ST2 Systems Turn Signal Device "Stuck"  

Only after contacting them through ALL the methods they offered, multiple times, did they finally respond to this issue.

As of May 2025, I flat out don't recommend it. I contacted customer support a month ago about the SECOND failed unit. They acknowledge receiving my ticket. No response.

At 04:00, I present my recommended installation to deal with either issue. This installation provides for an easy roadside bypass or the ability to reset a stuck module. I have yet to verify if the module will reset itself with the power/ground on a disconnect plug since these failure modes seem to occur randomly. One would hope you wouldn't need to do this and it would be a permanent and 100% hardwired installation but these modifications reflect my experience and the reality of living with the ST2 Smart Turn Signal.

If the module is wired without easily accessible disconnects, you have no easy way to restore turn signal functionality at the side of the road. You will have to resort to hand signals if it fails in mode 1 or if mode 2, you continue riding around with a stuck turn signal which is guaranteed to confuse the motorists following you...
