I have done the switch, about good two years ago, I decided to face it head on. It has been the major piece of work I have been focussing on and now is the main technique that I play with. I want to share my experience with it, tell you the pros and cons I found, and maybe help you with the decision if you want to go for it.
I can say the effort has totally paid off for me, I can play faster, more precise and generally have more joy playing with new levels of accuracy and expression.
