Disciples of Smt. Gayatri Punyamurthi are renowned Gurus in Bharatanatyam in the Queen of hill station, Ooty. Both graduated from Annamalai university.Chidambaram and pursued their Master Degree.They are Founder Directors of Vidhya Vriksha dance school, Ooty.
Smt Bindhu Padmanaban and Smt Manju Saravanan have their credit over 100 students making them
perform every year on the stage for Vidhya Vriksha's Annual day.Their dance drama "Half The Sky"
(a dance drama in two parts)written by Sri.B.J Krishnan was a huge success.The realistic screen play,
choreography & Costume designing done by our gurus was a huge feast for the eyes.The highlight of the drama was, Musicians from all over the country took part and gave their exceptional performance.Their dance drama "Krishna Leella" was the talk of the town and has won appreciation from connoisseurs and critics alike.Till the date they have conducted the Arangetram of 39 disciples. Students are also encouraged and trained to take their grade exams in Bharatanatyam that capture professionalism.Their dedication to their students and the art unfolding the best in their disciples.

Samicsha, daughter of Mr. P. Sundar Singh and Mrs. G. Sheeba, is a Grade 10 student at Nazareth Convent High School and Junior College. She embarked on her journey in the world of dance at the tender age of 4, and over the years, has blossomed into a dedicated and expressive young artist with a deep-rooted passion for Bharatanatyam.

Her talents, however, are not limited to dance alone . Samicsha is a district chess champion and a proud state-level player, recently securing first place in an inter-school chess competition, further affirming her sharp strategic skills.A all- rounder achiever , she has won accolades in SPEEL - BEE contests and emerged victorious in the Logiqids Olympiad.

A gifted artist, Samicsha excels in drawing and painting. Her creativity and curiosity come alive through her love for craft, origami, and cycling—revealing a spirit that is both disciplined and imaginative.

This Arangetram marks the culmination of years of rigorous training under the guidance of her esteemed dance gurus. It is a celebration of her perseverance, talent, and the steadfast support of her family, teachers, and well-wishers who have stood by her in this remarkable journey.

Anushka .P.K
"Dance with your heart your feet will follow"

Anushka P K is a grade nine student of Nazareth Convent High School and Junior College, who stepped into the enchanting world of Bharatanatyam at the age of 6 and now proudy holds a grade 3 certification. She is a lovely daughter of Dr.P.Kannapiran and Mrs.M. Renuga. She carries with her the blessings of her paternal grandparents Mr.S. Ponniah (late) and Mrs.P. Indhira(late) as well as her maternal grandparents Mr. I. Mayakrishnan (late) and Mrs M. Rajamani -who remains her guiding stars.

She attributes the majestic encouragement and audacious dedication of her parents whose constant motivation has installed in her a profound respect for art. Her heart beats to the rhythm of Bharatanatyam where she finds both discipline and joy. Alongside dance, she holds a Green 1 belt in Taekwondo and has earned medals in association level kyorugi(sparring) matches, embodying the spirit of a teakwondoin who dances with equal favour.

Anushka delights in exploring the world through books she enjoys recitation and debating, love for exploring new cuisines and sketching fleeting moments on paper.


With deep gratitude Anushka dedicates her progress in this artistic journey to the tireless guidance of her Gurus Smt.Bindhu Pandmanabhan and Smt.Manju Saravanan, who continue to shape her into a dance who tells stories without words.
