The Tragedy of Emet-Selch (FF14 Tribute GMV)

I tried going even further from my normal video editing. This is actually a video I've had in the back of my mind ever since finishing Shadowbringers. It was also QUITE a bit more difficult to do than I had anticipated, much like nearly everything I try to do.
One of the biggest things that stood out to me, and perhaps it was intended by the writers, was tragic irony of Emet-Selch. I realized that we didn't actually have any scenes of many of the things that Emet-Selch told us about with the fight between Hydaelyn and Zodiark, the summoning of Zodiark, etc. So because I didn't have the footage, I decided to overlay similar scenes from the game.
And what I realized is that Emet-Selch and the other Ascians are repeating the original disaster of the Source world over and over again on each of the shards. In their quest to collapse the shards back into the source, they cause the destruction of each and every world in what seems like a pretty similar manner their own world was about suffer from.

Footage was taken from FF14. All of it was recorded by myself, although I did try to use my best Glamours.
