I hadn’t seen my friend in almost a year, so we decided to finally catch up over breakfast in the city. Kyiv was unexpectedly quiet, and only later we realized why. Everyone had already headed home for the holidays.

That’s how we ended up spending the rest of the day in Pyrohiv, a cozy open-air museum just outside the city, full of old houses, traditions, and warm Easter vibes. We wandered through history, peeked into tiny village homes, visited a wooden church, and even saw my hometown on an old map 🫶
