Let’s Play iOS Music Apps - BeatHawk Ep 1: Intro and Overview

This is the first video in a series on the UVI BeatHawk music app for iPad/iPhone as part of the Let's Play iOS Music apps series. The first video goes over a quick jump start into using BeatHawk and some shortcuts for going straight into creating songs, and gives and overview of some of what will be covered in the series. BeatHawk has a lot of great sounds available out of the box, and as additional sound packs via IAP. Most of them are between $3.99 and $9.99 USD (at the time of this writing), and there are some very nice sounding samples and instruments that can be used in BeatHawk and that can be integrated into a lot of different workflows in AUM, Logic Pro and other apps. This series will be focused on getting the most out of BeatHawk, how to use a lot of its features, with a focus on ones that are lesser known and have not been covered in other videos, tips and tricks for getting around in the app and using it as an AUv3 and gotchas and idiosyncrasies that you might encounter and how to work around them.

A drumkit from one of the free packs was used in the demo. Many of the packs include custom made kits for iOS apps including BeatHawk, so you can just load an entire kit without mapping each pad.
