Mechanical bells abruptly interrupt the peaceful silence of a cool December night as a massive MYROG rolls into town. Watch and listen as this behemoth of a train slows down, with plenty of slack action to be heard. As the rear of the train comes into view, pay special attention to the plaque found on the engineer side of UP 6748. This unit honors the life of John William Givens, Jr., a man who dedicated 42 years of his life to Union Pacific, before retiring in 2010, and sadly passing in April of 2014 at the age of 63.
