Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd made history in 2008 with an apology to the first peoples of the country for the suffering caused by colonisation, and subsequent government policy.
Ten years on he reflects on what it meant and how, as a nation, we can continue to move forward with reconciliation.
The university was a fitting venue for the event, with its ongoing commitment to positive social change for Indigenous Australians through higher education and research.
