This was my first P-50 up close in over 10 years! I heard this unit over 10 years ago for the first time up close, and it for sure is as loud as I remember it being. I was super paranoid that Plainfield had cancelled the test due to the rain (which soaked me and my camera, but everything is ok). I had a mini heart attack (not really) when I heard Joliet and Romeoville's sirens going off, as I thought the test was cancelled. Just after their systems concluded testing, this beast began to rotate, and from there, it was pure glory. When the horn pointed at me, I felt my chest rumble a bit, as well as a lot of pressure from the noise. These monsters are loud indeed. I'll be filming more of Plainfield's sirens in the coming months.
