MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Francis Escudero has accused former House Speaker Martin Romualdez of using the “for later release” (FLR) funds, and even the name of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., to push the unconstitutional impeachment complaint against the vice president.
In a brief manifestation on the Senate floor on Monday, Escudero said he confirmed Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco’s earlier claim that the filing of the complaint against Duterte was used by Romualdez in exchange for the FLR.
