In this video I do an overview of my Roadforce SS-497 which is the same as the Albrecht 497, Cherokee CBS-1000, Eagle Tomahawk and a few others.
When faced with overheating you can move the regulator or you can swap to a switching PSU and get rid of the whole problem for good.
