UNICEF Response to Famine in Gaza: ‘Our Worst Fears Have Come True’

UNICEF Spokesperson Tess Ingram reports from Deir Al Balah, central Gaza Strip, as famine is confirmed in Gaza City. “Our worst fears that we've been warning about have come true,” Ingram said, noting the possibility that famine will spread. ”Not enough aid, not enough food, nutrition supplies, clean water, medical equipment are getting into the Gaza Strip" as more and more children are being admitted for treatment for acute malnutrition, she added. "The international community must do everything that it can to get on top of this crisis.”
