The Winchester & Western is a shortline railroad that runs from the northernmost region of Virginia through West Virginia and into Maryland. The railroad also operates some shortlines in New Jersey. In this video, we will follow W&W GP9 number 459 as it goes about some typical tasks on the Virginia Division of the W&W. We start with a "Sandman" run from Gore to Winchester, followed by a run up to Hagerstown, Maryland. I will also give a brief overview of the work I did to customize the model. 459 is a Walthers Mainline GP9 that I decaled myself. Filmed on the club layout of the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders in Vienna, Virginia. www.nvmr.org
