History of DeSoto & Why the Brand Was Cancelled (1928-1961) - Rise, Fall, & Death

Today we take a look at the history of the DeSoto brand, beginning with their origin in 1929 with the DeSoto Six! They would last another 32 years until the early 1960s, when sales really crashed and Chrysler pulled the plug and discontinued the brand. They had their loyal fans and some memorable vehicles, like the Airflow, Firedome, Adventurer, and Fireflite, but ultimately there were some internal issues and things didn't work out.
