Chasing The NS OCS At Derry, Latrobe and Donohoe!

Running as NS 955, the NS OCS came west out of Altoona on a bright August morning with NS 4822, the 'Thoroughbred Pride' unit leading the Reading heritage unit! The OCS was stuck behind a heavy freight train as it went west. I didn't plan on chasing it, but an eastbound freight at Derry forced me to the track two side, and I got a somewhat backlit shot that I wasn't thrilled with. Seeing that the train was doing crawling speed, I raced off to Latrobe, where I got in perfect light as it slowed to a stop at CP TROBE! After getting an approach signal, I figured I'd try for one more shot. I beat it to the pull off where the old Buffenmeyer Road bridge was for one final shot. Didn't plan on seeing it three times but I'm content! Was also my first time seeing NS 4822 as well! Filmed August 12, 2024.
