A great matchup between the visiting Ospreys of SMLCA and the hometown Parry McCluer Fighting Blues of Buena Vista, VA. A very exciting game that saw a 2-run over the fence homerun and triple by Abby Hogan of SMLCA matched by a 3-run in the park homerun and triple by Kendall Painter of the PMHS Blues! The Ospreys jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first but the Blues came back with 3 runs of their own. Down 8-4 in the 5th, the Blues crossed the plate 6 times to take a 10-8 lead they would not relinquish and which proved to be the final score, giving PMHS their first win of the season. An entertaining game, between these two evenly matched teams who both played well defensively in the field as well as offensively at the plate.
