I had:
a bigger Sail (+0.4m)
a bigger board
a bigger Fin
a daggerboard
less weight
No white caps out there! The Wind dropped to 3 Bft, gusts maybe up to 4bft, so it was easier for me to get planing...
In more wind (4bft+) the Fanatic Gecko is clearly faster (even if my old Fanatic CAT still thinks she's the fastest out there - see videos windsurf boards are alive ;)
