"Stad i ljus"
The song participated as Sweden's entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1988, with Anders Berglund as conductor. With him on stage was Tommy Körberg Urban Agnas, who played the piccolo trumpet. Körberg fell ill before the competition and could not participate in all the rehearsals. For a while there was the question of whether the songwriter Py Bäckman himself would perform the song, which, however, only happened at the dress rehearsal. Sweden was one of the favorites before the competition and the performance itself went well, but the high scores from the jury groups were not forthcoming. Sweden got 12 points from Norway but a total of only 52 points, which meant that the song ended up in 12th place together with Italy.
