Hi peeps and welcome to another Bear report brought to you by Mydo bait and swimmers.
Well we had peachy conditions Sunday and Monday and yes I have fish pic's for you peeps! Bad news is weather and swell have gone pear shaped with a fresh SW wind blowing now and swell up to 3m.
The SW wind continues to blow through tomorrow dying off in the arvo with swell calming down from 3m to 2m.
We have neap tide's at the moment with low tide at 05h13/18h43 and high tide at 12h15. Sea temps are down from yesterday afternoon (23 degC on the bouys) to 21 degC today. Current is NS however this SW wind will turn that around.
The 1st Natal central trials for National's 2026 were held this Sunday with the diving zone from South pier to Warner beach in the south. Well done Master Sean Burns for organising again and everything went fairly smoothly besides a slightly late start.
With fish from the trial's we have Bruce with a Blacktip kingfish and Garrick 2nd place, The Bear with a Tasselfish and Brusher 10th place, Warren with a Spadefish and Dusky rubberlips 7th place, Philip with a Rock salmon and Daga salmon 1st place, Garreth with a Target John Dory and Catface 3rd place and Leon Peach with a Brusher and Cape yellowtail 5th place! Aweh lads!
There will be more trials and I will keep you posted on date's! Results sheet in the pictures!
Other fish from the weekend we have Matt Oakley with a Garrick and snoek at Tiffany's and Gordon with a size Blacktip kingfish on a boat dive! Aweh lads!
So as you can see there are definitely fish around and it was worth getting wet this weekend.
As always dive safe and straight spears from the Bear
