Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women & Girls. I'm proud to be playing my part as Minister for Children & Families to meet the Labour Government's goal of halving violence against women and girls.
Shockingly, 1 in 5 children are victims of domestic abuse. To address that, we need to know what interventions are effective. We're taking an evidence-based approach to assess different programs and we'll back those which are shown to be effective in tackling this issue.
