Maiden trip - Fenn XT double surfski

Last addition: a Fenn XT double ! I wanted a double so my daughter could paddle with me. We have the Mirage 730 for winter paddling and now the XT double for summer time and hopefully some surfski races.
It is an old surfski but very well kept and stored, unused since 2017. It has two adjustable footplates. The front bucket is very similar to the Fenn Elite, with a massive long hump. The rear bucket is like the one on the old Fenn XT, with a short and high hump and double footwell. Luckily the back seat is fine for my daughter who is on the short side. It would be impossible for her to paddle from the front bucket. Overall I found the buckets very comfortable, much more than on the Fennix Swordfish and Fennix XTS.
The first paddle with my wife ended with a capsize near instantly (she is not a kayak paddler, she is quite good at paddle boarding). I decided to paddle it alone to see if it was tippy and it wasn't. It actually felt like paddling a heavy Epic V8 Pro. The second paddle with my wife went fine. Lots of wobbles but no falls. It did feel very fast at some point but I forgot to start the gopro. Alone I could sprint a bit over 13 km/h (8 mph) and I am certain to beat that speed easily once I get used to it. The stern drifts a bit when turning (when paddling alone) because alone I am too light for it.

Some specifications (fibreglass version): it is 750 cm (24.5 ft) long and 51 cm (21 inches) wide. The weight is 27 kg (60 lbs).
