Reasons for Nikolai claiming the title of Dominican Medieval Fantasy Pioneer for himself: 1) For being one of only 2 existing lead Order of the Red-Tailed Hawk medieval fencing instructors. A school of his creation and the very first of its kind in the Dominican Republic. 2) For being the creator (and a participant) of the Chronicles of the Red Cleric high fantasy Saga with his human character of Orland the Red Cleric (Warrior Monk for the Order of the Sacred Owl). This character was introduced in the first installment of the saga which was called The Black Viking, and he made his debut on 10-7-2018. 3) Nikolai is also (and maybe) the very first Dominican that has single-handedly made a personal commitment to aid the development of the Dominican high Fantasy genre which is still in its infancy. To this end he has created several dedicated support platforms as part of a multi-prong strategy. To introduce and teach medieval fencing and to train performers for the purposes of stage and film he has created the Order of the red Tailed Hawk. To support other high fantasy ventures like cosplay, local films or original projects like COTRC he has created Dominican Fantasy Art and its Deviant art support branch Dominican-Fantasy. These accolades turn him into a prominent figure in the emerging local Dominican Medieval High Fantasy genre. As one out of only a handful of selected individuals that can be directly credited with the birth of this niche, hence, one of its pioneers.
