I will be eternally working on this tune. This isn’t where I want it to go, and I may never get there. Nonetheless, here’s where I’m at on the morning of Sunday Nov 4, 2018.
This is also my first recording made with a new recording set up. Unfortunately, the levels were set too hot, and the mic stand was loose, so the microphones slowly dropped until they were touching the strings. Thus, distortion gets worse and worse as the recording proceeds. :/
The set signal flow is:
Samson CO2 microphone pair
Behringer digital microphone preamp
Roland Go:Mixer
iPad Pro
Recorded using built-in iPad camera app, which uses the external audio source when it’s connected.
Other recordings are sounding better as I figure out the ideal audio gain settings at each stage.
