In this video I walk you through my top tips and considerations when evaluating a set to buy for part out on Bricklink or Brickowl.

It's very easy to just see a discounted Lego set and think that that must be a good deal for parting out. However not all Lego sets will bring you a good return for your money. So it's important to consider what makes a Lego a good set for parting out.

In this video, I'll outline my four key considerations when buying Lego sets. Essentially I break this down into:

1. What is the part out value of the set? - You should be aiming for a part out value of at least 2.5 times your purchase price.

2. Minifigure selection - Minifigure often makes up the highest portion of the value of the set. Check whether the selection are good saleable Minifigures

3. What New parts are contained in the set - New parts will usually be in good demand and will usually start at a high price which will fall over the first months its available.

4. What parts do you already have in inventory - You may not want "more" of the same parts. Consider if these parts sold well for you etc.
