How To Drain Down a Caravan Using a Homemade Kit

Draining down your touring caravan when leaving the campsite is good practice, however knowing how to drain down before the winter is essential, leaving water in the system with the taps and drain valve closed could be catastrophic, however, the question is how far do I need to go?
In this video I make my own drain down kit to try and remove all residual water from the system but how much will I extract and is it worth it.
