The complete TV Pilot Bootcamp course meets weekly for the next six weeks. Pro screenwriter Conor Kyle takes you from blank page to the first draft of a complete original pilot screenplay. You’ll attend a two-hour class session each week in which we’ll walk through the entire process of conceiving, outlining, and writing an original TV pilot.

About the Instructor:
Conor Kyle has written for Shudder's Creepshow (2019) and placed twice in the Nicholl Fellowship with his scripts “Peter and the Wolves” (quarterfinals, also Launchpad top 10) and The Tube (semifinals). His screenplays have also been featured on special sections of the annual Hit List, Young & Hungry List, Spec Book, and on Tracking Board’s “Best Writers of the Year” booklet.

By the end of the course, you will:

review the foundations of serialized and episodic storytelling, including different structures and A/B/C storylines.

sharpen your main and secondary characters.

set up character conflicts that will keep your viewers watching.

effectively use dialogue to bring your characters to life and move the plot forward.

manage your pace and story engine for your pilot.

learn how to rewrite, re-break, and adjust your script.

learn how to give notes to your peers and process notes from your peers and advisors.
