(4 - Knackered/Rare Allocation) Happy Al's Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 2: BK13 NZT

(Christmas Countdown 2025 - Day 4/25)

Back on a hot day at the end of May 2025, Right towards the start of this year's summer, Happy Al's put their Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 2 out in public service for the first time in a long time due to another vehicle breaking down - And I decided to go catch it!

NZT was new to Diamond Bus West Midlands (Also just known as Diamond Bus) in April 2013 as their 30942. Having been painted into the West Midlands Bus scheme (Essentially National Express West Midland's standard colours at the time), It was withdrawn from service and stored in 2020. It was then shipped all the way to The Shetland Islands for Andrews, a small operator of services in the area, however, it didn't last long over there, as it was withdrawn in 2021. It shortly after made the long journey back to Baslow in Derbyshire, where it became Hulleys Of Baslow number 8, Being one of many short lived purchases the company made around that time, when it was purchased by Happy Al's in 2022 - However, it has proven severely unreliable at both of the latter companies, as clearly it's high mileage is starting to take it's toll. At the time of this video's publication, NZT has been SORNed off the road since October, and it's unclear if it will return.
