After being taken by Baylan, Sabine Wren comes face-to-face with the long-lost Grand Admiral Thrawn. But instead of being imprisoned or threatened, she's given back her weapons, her armor... even a mount — and is simply allowed to leave. Sabine is clearly confused. Why would the Empire's most dangerous strategist just let her walk away?
The answer is simple: he's using her.
Thrawn knows Sabine will search for Ezra. He’s counting on it. He sends Baylan and Shin to quietly track her — not to stop her, but to follow her straight to Ezra Bridger. Then, once they find him, eliminate both.
Meanwhile, Sabine is ambushed by local marauders in the wasteland. Outnumbered and cornered, she fights with everything she’s got, eventually driving them off. But her journey has just begun.
As Baylan and Shin arrive at the battle site, Shin questions their path:
"Why are we doing this?"
Baylan’s answer is chilling:
"To break the cycle. To forge a new path. I’m not training you to become another Jedi — I’m building something that’s never existed before."
And just as they move forward, the same marauders return — but this time, Baylan doesn’t fight.
"The enemy of my enemy is a friend," he says with a smirk.
"Perhaps they’ll help us track her down."
The hunt is on. And the galaxy may never be the same.
