The Allen Bradley Compactlogix L24 and L27 PLC models have built in embedded high speed inputs. These high speed counter inputs can be used for encoders and other high speed pulsed inputs such as flow meters. In this lesson we go through how to wire your encoder and configure it in Studio 5000 (formerly RsLogix 5000).
