Construction of India's largest multipurpose irrigation project, Polavaram, is advancing steadily despite heavy floods. International experts Discico, Richard Donnelly, David Paul, and senior officials, Secretary Raghuram and Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singhal, spent three days reviewing the project. They commended MEIL Group for its high standards of quality and safety, which adhere to Indian Standards (IS) codes. The project is overcoming challenges to deliver irrigation, drinking water, and power to millions by employing advanced methods such as deep soil mixing and special concrete.
