I came across a video the other day of a fashion designer who made her own outfit and shared it on tiktok. However, in the comments, many people were accusing her of plagiarizing an artist named Aliyah's Interlude, which has a very similar style. This sparked what I think is an interesting conversation to be had about people having a similar style, but different levels of influence, and how that changes our perception of them. I don't think it's fair to say someone is copying a bigger influencer simply because they don't have the same influence. And just for the record, no this is not a video that will be putting down Aliyah (because this quite literally isn't her fault) so you crazy Aliyah fans can chill and you Aliyah haters can leave.


Also I think the audio has a slight delay and I apologize.
