The Talk
Many phenomena are present in fluids studies, and mine ventilation it is not the exception, because the different tunnels present, make a complex network of ducts, in which air and other components as: heat, dust, water vapor and others, affect the air behavior associated to the current conditions in the deepest mines. In this presentation we will talk about the main characteristics of mine ventilation systems, their importance, and the most relevant phenomena that affect the environmental conditions and equipment performances in underground mining operations.
The Speaker
Daniel Naupari graduated from the mining engineering department from the National University of Engineering of Peru, has postgraduate studies in mechanical engineering department from the Pontific Catholic University of Peru. Currently, works as Technical Director in Mine & Flows. Also, he has more than 10 years of experience working in four of the six deepest mines in Peru, leading the Mine Ventilation Department and in different mining projects. He worked in the optimization of several mining ventilation systems in: Peru, Mexico and Russia, designing systems to improve the environmental conditions in the deepest and highest mines above sea level, controlling the high deep mining phenomenon’s that affect the environmental conditions, generating a positive impact in the operation performance.
