Three years after leaving the MCU, Billy Maximoff makes a comeback in "Agatha All Along," but his brother Tommy Maximoff is still missing. Wanda Maximoff and Vision's formidable sons first appeared in episode 3 of "WandaVision," titled "Now in Color," where they showcased some of their remarkable abilities during the Phase 4 series. However, since the twins were magically linked to the Hex, they vanished when the Westview Anomaly was taken down, leaving the futures of Wiccan and Speed in the MCU unclear.
In "WandaVision," Tommy Maximoff was played by Gavin Borders as a five-year-old and by Jett Klyne at age ten, alongside Baylen Bielitz and Julian Hilliard, who portrayed Billy Maximoff. Klyne returned to the role with Hilliard in the 2022 film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," appearing as variants from Earth-838. However, it seemed like the Scarlet Witch's twins on Earth-616 were written off in "WandaVision." But with episode 6 of "Agatha All Along," titled "Familiar By Thy Side," things have shifted dramatically, making it quite possible that Tommy Maximoff could come back to the MCU.
When Joe Locke, known for his role in "Heartstopper," was initially cast in "Agatha All Along," fans began speculating that he might be portraying Billy Kaplan, the young superhero Wiccan from Marvel Comics, who is the reincarnation of Billy Maximoff. These theories continued during the first few episodes of "Agatha All Along," as Locke's character, referred to as "Teen," kept his true identity under wraps until episode 5, titled "Darkest Hour, Wake Thy Power." This episode confirmed that Joe Locke is indeed the MCU's Wiccan, while episode 6 provided more details about his transformation from William Kaplan to Billy Maximoff.
