This talk will highlight some of the recent advances in the broad field of structural biology in the context of drug discovery. We’ll see a couple of case studies showcasing the application of
1) bioinformatics methods for identifying potential drug targets and
2) molecular docking techniques to identify potential lead molecules.
Importantly, challenges and opportunities in bioinformatics education for students and professionals will be discussed.
