sooo….hi!

it’s my favourite time of the year - secret santa season over at ‪@darkstarstudios1556‬ ! this year, i got to make a video for the phenomenal ‪@10thea01‬ with her excellent wishlist and taste!
thea, i’m so impressed by your skills and storytelling and aesthetics and the sheer creative force of you, so this was scary. (my first attempt was to use some of your ocs, but my time unfortunately wasn’t enough for the series i didn’t know…)
but i hope i got some of it right? i tried to combine your favourite actors/fandoms on the list with some of the tropes there - original story, dark & twisted supernatural, (if you squint) angsty love, … and while they don’t share scenes bc of time and story constraints, amita & dev exist in the same place so we can just pretend they’re a pair?

›› story (approximately; with mild spoilers):

in the search of darker powers, the king (jrm) is willing to even sacrifice his illegitimate daughter (yen) and her mother - and instead brings a curse upon his family and his land, transforming himself and his children. his son (lorenzo), desperate for his love, tries to please his father despite the darkness the king caused him. meanwhile, the queen sees what her husband has become, and sends her loyal knight (lan) away with yennefer. the queen dies. the king grows ever more paranoid. the prince’s wife sees the evil and tries to protect her husband from it.
meanwhile, yen and lan find refuge with her half-sister (naya) and some friends. she knows how dangerous her powers are now, and that the king is to blame. even though her half-brother is hunting her, she tries to join forces with him.
in the end, they all get their revenge.
