I recently spent a few wonderful days camping, hiking & painting in the Sheep Range in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge.
I visited a couple of new peaks, saw fossils, military drones, historical artifacts, a surprising amount of wildflowers & got to see the aurora borealis for the third time in southern Nevada!
This is Part I of the trip featuring a hike up Peak 5528 near Cow Camp. I'll post my hike up Target Benchmark as Part II.
