Faro | Novo conjunto Habitacional Municipal

Faro comemorou com grande entusiasmo os seus 485 anos de elevação a cidade, num dia que uniu tradição, cultura e comunidade. As celebrações começaram com uma missa de sufrágio na Igreja da Misericórdia, seguida do hastear das bandeiras no Passeio da Doca, marcando o início oficial das festividades.

Durante a sessão solene no Jardim Manuel Bivar, foram homenageadas figuras e instituições que contribuem para o desenvolvimento da cidade. Também foi inaugurada uma nova unidade de habitação social na Rua Rui Ludovico Menezes, reforçando o compromisso com a inclusão.

🎶 O dia coincidiu com o encerramento da 10.ª edição do Festival F, que trouxe nomes como Pedro Abrunhosa, Dino D’Santiago com a Orquestra do Algarve, e Mundo Segundo & Sam The Kid, num espetáculo memorável que celebrou a diversidade musical portuguesa.

Faro mostrou-se como uma cidade viva, inclusiva e apaixonada pela sua identidade. O Dia do Município foi, acima de tudo, uma celebração da memória coletiva e do futuro que se constrói com todos os farenses.

Faro celebrated its 485th anniversary as a city with great enthusiasm on a day that brought together tradition, culture, and community. The celebrations began with a memorial mass at the Church of Mercy, followed by the raising of flags at Passeio da Doca, marking the official start of the festivities.
During the solemn session in the Manuel Bivar Garden, figures and institutions that have contributed to the city's development were honoured. A new social housing unit was also inaugurated on Rua Rui Ludovico Menezes, reinforcing the commitment to inclusion.

🎶 The day coincided with the closing of the 10th edition of Festival F, which featured names such as Pedro Abrunhosa, Dino D'Santiago with the Algarve Orchestra, and Mundo Segundo & Sam The Kid, in a memorable show that celebrated Portuguese musical diversity.

Faro showed itself to be a lively, inclusive city that is passionate about its identity. Municipality Day was, above all, a celebration of collective memory and the future that is being built with all the people of Faro.
